Tanna – Patient Coordinator
Tanna is the Treatment Coordinator where she works closely with Dr. Miler and new patients to develop a treatment plan that works best with patients’ finances and needs.
Originally from the Boston area, Tanna has lived in Bluffton since 2014. She left Boston to get away from the snow and the hustle and bustle of everyday city life. Lowcountry life in South Carolina had the appeal of more relaxed living and warmth year-round. She stays busy with her husband, two children and two dogs! Tanna enjoys working in Orthodontics because she loves seeing peoples’ transformations from beginning to end and the joy that it brings them.
Christie – Chairside Assistant
Christie moved to the Bluffton area from Maryland, has more than 15 years of experience in chairside assisting and notes that the most rewarding part of her job is seeing the beautiful smiles we create. She enjoys the opportunity to get to know patients and their families during their treatment where she gets to see them every six to eight weeks and loves hearing about their day at school or at work, what sports they engage in, and where they have gone on vacations.
When not working, Christie stays busy looking after her two dogs and two cats and volunteers at the local animal shelter.
Kim F. – Chairside Assistant
Kim and her husband have lived in the Low country for 16 years now. Her and her husband have two sweet boxers and have recently added a spunky french bulldog to their family. Kim is happiest with her pups, her chickens and out working in her garden, you’d be hard pressed to find a citrus she doesn’t have in her backyard!
She’s worked in orthodontics for over 30 years now and her favorite moment in patients treatment is seeing the big bright smiles on patients faces when their braces came off. She loves knowing she was involved in that beautiful moment.
Anna – Receptionist & Chairside Assistant
Anna is originally from Panamá but grew up all over the place as a military brat. The military is also what brought her to South Carolina, her husband is a Marine who was stationed at Parris Island. He is getting out of the Marine Corps, and they are making South Carolina their home because they fell in love with the Lowcountry lifestyle. Anna is excited to raise her family here, she has one daughter with plans to have more kids but for now she is happy with one daughter and two ‘fur kids.’
Anna enjoys working in Orthodontics because she had a horrible snaggle tooth growing up that she was very self-conscious about. Braces helped her fall in love with her smile and she thinks everyone should be able to have a smile they love.
Kim B.– Receptionist
Kim moved from Williamsburg, Virginia to South Carolina because she wanted to be amongst the palm trees and back to her southern roots, she moved from a colonial town to a coastal town, and it is a totally different world! She has 2 beautiful daughters that are grown and out of the house, and now has 3 sweet fur babies to occupy her time. Kim enjoys being in Orthodontics because she wants to be a part of giving people the confidence to smile. She remembers the impact her braces had for her confidence and loves seeing others find that same confidence. She used to be complimented on her eyes all the time and now her smile is the first thing people compliment!
